Air or gases are filtered by multi-stage cleaning against solid particles, from water or oil. You can find in our company the set of filters necessary for obtaining air or gas of the required quality.
Filters are conventionally divided according to the purpose and size of delayed solid particles or droplets:
- Preliminary or input filters. This type of filters is placed at the Compressor Inlet and delays the largest solid particles. Sometimes preliminary filters are combined in single design with Separator. The Separator screen out the largest particles 10 μm and above. Air or gas from the Separator further passes through pre-filter material that retains solid or liquid particles of 3 μm in size.
- Linear filters. They are installed on the compressor pipeline or outside the compressor equipment. These filters remove solids up to 1 μm in size, as well as liquid water and oils. Air or gas in such filters passes through several layers of different materials. In this case, the solid particles get stuck in one filter material, the water or oil particles settle and splinter into larger drops on the other filter material.
- Fine Filters. Such filters also have a multilayer structure of more dense materials and allow to retain mechanical impurities of 0.01 μm in size or thin water and oil aerosols.
